Dr Webster’s Recommendation: With a pH of 6.5 this cleansing bar will help preserve the skin’s protective acid mantle. This is unlike many supermarket brands which generally have a much higher pH and can adversely affect the skin barrier function causing dryness, sensitivity, and ultimately an irritant contact dermatitis. Formulated with active ingredients selected for their purity, tolerance, and efficacy, the skin is nourished and the skin barrier protected against the drying effects of water. Dryness and itching is reduced. I also recommend that you use an unfragranced hand cream a few times a day and overnight to keep your hands moisturised if you are washing them more regularly than usual.
