Healing SPF Balm

Dry & Compromised Skin

Description Summary How to use Key Ingredients

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 SPF 50 is a double-action repair balm that helps to accelerate healing in dry, sensitive, or superficially injured and weakened skin. It also contains a sunscreen to support the skin when it is vulnerable, protecting it from damaging UV rays which can cause pigmentation and additional skin sensitivity.

Key Ingredients include Madecassoside for optimal cell repair and recovery. Panthenol skin soothing and repairs barrier function. Procerad™, a patented ceramide and La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water, a real wonder of nature with its soothing, antioxidant properties. Anti-bacterial Complex (Copper, Zinc, and Manganese) decrease bacterial adhesion. High protection UVA/UVB SPF 50+ prevention of dark marks.

Dr Webster’s Recommendation: La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 SPF 50 is a soothing, recovery balm that contains a high factor broad-spectrum sunscreen – there is always the risk of pigmentation when the skin is injured or inflamed, so to have a combination of a healing balm and a sunscreen is unique. It is also a good product to use for post-tattooed skin and also on dry, sunburned or cracked lips in need of TLC. It has an ultra-nourishing texture with a non-greasy finish. Even though I am happy that this product can be used on the lips, La Roche-Posay cautiously state on their packaging not for use on the lips as they have not done specific testing of the product on the lips and have other products available like Cicaplast Lips specifically for this area (does not contain an SPF).

Product Rating:

Just purchased this product for the first time (normally use the Cicaplast Balm B5).
Very disappointed. It pills on my skin. Definitely can’t use under make up. Feels quite drying. Won’t purchase this one again.

Rather stick to the plain one minus the added SPF.
