Lamelle Cathepzyme 1 is a gentle home exfoliation system that contains a self-neutralizing patented ingredient that enhances natural exfoliation in the outer layers of the skin as it produces targeted cell exfoliation, helping to improve radiance without irritation. Suitable for more sensitive skin types with early ageing, acne, or hyperpigmentation.
Key ingredients include Cathepzyme D, a patented ingredient that replaces and mimics the skin’s own natural enzymatic exfoliator, Cathepsin D which diminishes with age. Cathepzyme activity is limited to the Stratum Corneum so there is no unnecessary interference with the lower layers of the skin and virtually no skin barrier disruption. Phytic Acid reduces melanin synthesis, brightening the skin and exfoliating it, restoring the skin’s natural glow
Dr Webster’s Recommendation: Lamelle Cathepzyme 1 exfoliation will show an improvement in fine lines, moisture levels, texture, tone and increased skin radiance. I like the fact that this product serves as a non-abrasive exfoliator that increases diminishing cellular turnover, that it does not disrupt the skin barrier function, and that it preps the skin for penetration of active ingredients. If you have never used Lamelle Cathepzyme correctives on the face before, it is best to start off Cathepzyme 1, before “stepping up” to Cathepzyme 2. Sensitive skin should remain on Step 1.

Face Use: PM
- Cleanse and dry the skin.
- Apply 3 pumps to the area with fingertips in a circular movement.
- Leave on the skin for 3 minutes.
- Rinse off with warm water or wipe away with wet cloth or sponges.
- Apply serums and moisturisers as prescribed.
- Apply 1 to 2 times per week.
