In higher concentrations, pure L-Ascorbic acid can feel quite gritty on the skin. Obagi has chosen to use that texture as a supportive physical exfoliation method, along with fruit oils to hydrate and polish the skin. The texture of this product is very interesting. At first, it feels like digging into hard ice cream (spatula provided) becoming a more malleable butter-like texture once activated in the warmth of your hand. Recommended for patients with a tolerance for a high percentage of Vitamin C. I wouldn’t recommend using more than three times weekly thereafter and always use a high-factor broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day.

Face Use: PM
- Warm in hands then gently rub a thin, even layer onto clean, damp skin. Do not over scrub.
- Leave on as a mask for 10-15 minutes.
- Wipe away with a soft, wet cloth and water.
- Use 1-2 times weekly to begin with. It can be used 2-3 times weekly but take caution not to overdo it. If skin starts to feel sensitive stop use immediately.
- Always use a high-factor broad spectrum sunscreen during the day.
