    Obagi Professional-C Serum 20% is formulated for mature, sun-damaged skins that are coarse, leathery, and deeply lined and it is also indicated for oily skins. It is a highly concentrated, high-performance serum that improves signs of skin ageing by stimulating collagen synthesis and visibly helping to improve pigmentation and brightens the skin.

    Key ingredients include L-Ascorbic Acid 20% which is Vitamin C in its purest form. It is also formulated for oily skins as it is the highest percentage of  L-Ascorbic Acid which has an anti-bacterial effect on the skin and that helps to targets breakouts and prevent them from reoccurring. It has antioxidant protection and has superior absorption into the epidermis and deep penetration into the dermal layer due to its low pH which enables it to stay stable for a longer period of time in these layers. It does not leave an oily layer on the skin due to its deep penetration. Avoid direct contact with the mucous membranes. It also enhances UV protection and will not cause any irritation on the skin.

    The best vitamin C serum I have ever used. I don’t know if it should be THIS expensive but it definitely stands apart from the more budget friendly alternatives by miles. I struggle with skin that has lost its firmness and this has made me look younger again; my skin is lifted and SNATCHED! This has really boosted my confidence when I was starting to feel like I am beginning to look older than my actual age (sun damage).

    As other reviewers have mentioned, it takes around two weeks before you really start to see it working. I love that it is formulated to not sting and be gentle because my skin does not react when I use it most of the time. Just because there’s no sting does not mean it’s not working. Other things that stand out about this is that it doesn’t stain orange like other vitamin C products I have used in the past, and it genuinely lightens dark spots. I had always heard that vitamin C lightens dark spots but this is the first one I’ve used where I actually see significant improvements with my dark spots.

    A minor drawback is the fragrance, a hairspray orange-like scent. It’s not the best and doesn’t do much to hide the actual smell of the vitamin C. However, it’s not overpowering and quickly disappears after application. Besides that, another exceptional, high-performing product from Obagi.

    I’ve been using this product for two weeks, and today I can say that I’ve noticed an improvement in my skin texture and tone. My skin looks radiant! I use this after cleansing in the morning, and use the Skinceuticals B5 hydrator after cleansing in the evening. I also incorporate a weekly use of Skinceuticals Rentinol 0.5 night cream, and must say these products are a powerful combination for healthy and radiant skin.
