Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E)

Tocopheryl Acetate is the ester of Tocopherol. On a molecular level it is an tocopherol molecule with an acetate group added.  It is fat-soluble. The term Vitamin E doesn’t just refer to one molecule but a family of molecules that are chemically similar. It is a potent antioxidant that protects the skin by reducing the formation of free radicals from environmental aggressors. It also enhances the efficacy of active sunscreen ingredients.
