Stretch Marks occur when skin is rapidly stretched: hormonal changes in puberty during growth spurts, pregnancy or weight gain. They are usually found in areas where there is more fat ie. breasts, hips, upper arms, buttocks and thighs. New stretch marks can be either red or purple and turn white as they mature.
